I must admit that I blessed with fairly good skin, thanks to my mother’s side :) I also avoid using too many products cause I don’t want to strip my skin of whatever essential oils it produces (sometimes a little too much).
Plus, as I live in Singapore where the humidity must be a joke (I have hair to prove it, but that’s a topic for another day), I need to avoid layering on products that are too heavy.
1. Khiel’s Rare Earth Deep Pore Daily Cleanser with Amazonian White Clay – I bought this cleanser about 2 months ago and I absolutely love it. It is a mild daily-scrub cleanser. My skin never feels super dry after using it (I do have a dry/oily skin, if that makes any sense). The tiny beads in it gives me the daily scrub I like, especially around my forehead and chin area where I tend to have little tiny pimples all the time. D happily uses it too!
2. Bioderma Solution Micellaire – I am a BIG Youtube watcher, and I particularly like the beauty volggers from UK. Those of you who also watch UK beauty-buffs know that this is one make-up removing solution that most of them love. I love this product. What I like about it in particular is that after washing my face I tend to have a bit of panda-eyes action going on. I wet a cotton-pad with this solution and gently wipe my eyes and almost all the remaining eye-makeup comes off. I also use it like a toner on my face and it really does moisturise my skin a little. Now, who would say no to a make-up remover that doesn’t dry your skin?
3. La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo – I picked this product up at the airport while I was searching for a new daily sunscreen (which I really dislike, it leaves white fabric like bits on my face. I need to go back to my Khiel’s SPF50 Sunscreen). I like that it is light and does provide a good amount of moisture to the skin. It supposed to have some sebum unclogging abilities and I saw the effects everywhere else on my face but my forehead! So I guess I like the product but am not totally in love with it. Still debating if I will purchase once it’s finished. I shall keep you updated on that one ;)
4. Khiel’s Epidermal Re-Texturising Micro-Dermabrasion – This product is only supposed to be used once or twice a week, and preferably in the morning. It really gets rid of all the dead skin on my face and gives me a squeaky clean canvas. I especially like using it once over the weekend where I can apply a face-mask after. I will definitely be repurchasing this product!
As you can see I really don’t use a lot of products, also because as I have gotten older I firmly believe the less you pull and pick at your skin the better. Also, knowing myself if I use too many products I WILL NOT remember to use them every morning (cause I am usually running out the door).
What are your morning routine products? Where do you buy your products? I mean Singapore is a bloody expensive city, but I am not a very good online shopper. Tho something tells me that might change very soon :)
